Why Sway?

Sway is for the "power user" who wants to maximize their screen real estate and minimize mouse usage. It uses a tiling layout where windows are automatically arranged in a non-overlapping grid. Because it's built for Wayland, it avoids the legacy baggage of X11, providing better performance, security, and a tear-free visual experience. If you love i3 but want to move to the future of Linux display protocols, Sway is the answer.

A Modern i3 Experience

Since Sway is compatible with i3 configuration files, you can bring your existing setup or use our curated AcreetionOS defaults. We've integrated essential tools like Waybar and Wofi to ensure you have a functional, beautiful environment from the first boot.
