Welcome to today's edition of the AcreetionOS newsletter. We're excited to bring you the latest developments from our small but dedicated team of builders working to create the most user-friendly Arch-based Linux distribution around. Development Updates
We've made significant progress on our CI/CD pipeline recently. The team successfully configured GitLab to publish ISO builds directly to our public ISO server over SSH. This automation eliminates manual upload steps and ensures faster distribution of new builds to our community testers.
Security and code quality have been top priorities this week. We've added Secret Detection and SAST (Static Application Security Testing) configurations to our GitLab CI files. These tools will help us catch potential vulnerabilities and hard-coded secrets before they make it into production releases.
On the build system front, we've refined our ISO generation process. The ability to output builds to ~/Documents/iso_output/ on the host machine has been implemented, making it easier for developers to test locally without needing complex directory structures.
Community News
Our community continues to grow, with more users joining our Discord server each day. We've been seeing great discussions around desktop customization and hardware compatibility reports coming in from all corners of the globe. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us shape AcreetionOS into something truly special.
